Easy Pineapple Coconut Cake

Please note I've moved this blog to: Screaming Sardine!

Here's a quick and easy recipe for Pineapple Coconut Cake. If you're wanting a pina colada taste, I imagine you could put some rum flavoring into the cake or frosting.

Quick and Easy Pineapple Coconut Cake
white cake mix
large can of crushed pineapple
8 ounce container of whipped cream
flaked coconut

Mix white cake mix and large can of crushed pineapple together, liquid included. You shouldn't have to add anything else to the cake mix because it will be moist enough.

Bake according to package directions.

When cooled, combine the container of whipped topping and as much coconut as you like. Pile on the cake and enjoy!

This is really yummy, and gets better after the first day, in my opinion It's really nice on a warm day since the cake has to be refrigerated.

Root Beer Float Cake

This is a yummy quick and easy recipe to whip up when you have a hankering for something sweet.

Root Beer Float Cake

White cake mix (you can use chocolate, too. I've done that, and it's yum, though you don't taste the root beer as much)
2 1/4 cup root beer, chilled, and divided
1/4 cup oil
2 eggs
1 envelope whipped topping mix (like Dream Whip)

Grease 13 x 9 baking dish. Combine cake mix, 1 1/4 cup root beer, oil, and eggs. Beat until well blended. Pour into baking dish. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes at 350 degrees.

Cool completely.

Combine remaining root beer and whipped topping mix. Beat until soft peaks form (a few minutes). Frost cake.

Dump Cake

Such a dumpy sounding game, but mmm mmmmmm, it sure tastes good!

Dump Cake

1 can cherry pie filling
1 can apple pie filling
1 box butter recipe cake mix
butter

Dump the pie fillings in your baking dish and mix around. Dump the dry cake mix on top of the pie fillings. Cut up pats of butter and put them all over the top of the dry cake mix. Put lots, so not too much of the cake mix is dry when it's baked. (Though it still tastes yummy).

Bake at 350 until all that butter is melted and you know the filling is hot. I think I keep it in there about 20 to 25 minutes.

Sometimes I change it up and put just apple pie filling, add some canned pineapple, or use chocolate cake mix instead.
